Signs for Winder, Barrow County's seat
Winder started out as Jug Tavern. Today it's the Barrow County seat, with a historic downtown and growth along GA 316. We make signs for downtown shops, service companies and new businesses along the corridor.
Downtown and Broad Street
The Downtown Winder Historic District has been on the National Register since 1994, and the 1920 Barrow County Courthouse anchors it. Signs in a historic district need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Historic Preservation Commission, so we plan storefront signs with that review in mind. Murals are only allowed in the downtown and general business districts.
Along GA 316, GDOT's Transforming SR 316 project is building new interchanges through 2028, and new businesses near the corridor need building and monument signs.
Trucks, events and the state park
Winder is home to Fort Yargo State Park, which draws more than 500,000 visitors a year. Local events, schools and businesses use our banners and promotional signs, and service companies use truck and van lettering to advertise on every job.
Sign permits in Winder
Sign permits go through the city's Planning and Development Services. Most signs need a permit: $100 plus $1 per square foot for permanent signs, and $10 for a temporary sign permit. Historic district signs also need a Commission meeting.
